FLORADAY: My initial impressions were pretty good. The car seems a bit larger than some of the competition, and that might be a bonus to some shoppers.
This GTS is the top-of-the-line (short of the forthcoming Evolution) model, carrying with it a corresponding price. I suppose $22,000 isn't terrible for something with a 650-watt stereo, nav system and Bluetooth connectivity, but I'll admit to a bit of sticker shock.
I'm really impressed by how the car rides and drives. I didn't expect to have as much fun behind the wheel as I did. No, it isn't close to an Evo, but it is a respectable front-driver. The 2.0-liter engine has enough pep to keep things interesting, but the voice in the back of your head will be begging for an Evo if you've ever driven one before.
