Kuokuang Petrochemical Technology Co. (Taipei), a joint venture between CPC Corp. (Taipei) and six other Taiwanese companies, is advancing plans for a previously announced, fully integrated petrochemical project in Taiwan (CW, June 14, 2005, p. 16). The configuration of the complex has been decided and Kuokuang will start seeking engineering, procurement, and construction bids before year-end, Roy C.H. Chiu, president of Kuokuang, tells CW. The company hopes to receive the green light for the project from the Taiwanese government also by year-end, he says.
