FMC says it will phase-out production of agricultural chemicals at its Baltimore plant by March 2008, and source all the products currently manufactured there from "several alliance partners." The Baltimore plant makes intermediates and actives for herbicides and insecticides. About 130 jobs will be eliminated at the site. FMC says the move "is consistent with its strategy to maintain globally cost-competitive manufacturing positions by sourcing raw materials, intermediates, and finished products …
