RIGHT after the elections last November, we heard a lot about the new breed of conservative Democrats who had helped their party to gain control of Congress. Three of the most frequently mentioned new congressmen were Heath Shuler of North Carolina and Brad Ellsworth and Joe Donnelly of Indiana. All three were pro-life, pro-gun Democrats who beat Republican incumbents.
