Jun. 24--Newton-Conover City Schools officials have watched with concern for years as major building projects they requested were pushed back and dropped off the county's radar.
Now, following county commissioners' recent decision to postpone the district's request for a new middle school, they're speaking out about what they see as inequity in the way the county funds school construction.
And they're urging residents to voice their opinions, too, before the commissioners vote on their 2007-08 budget Tuesday night.
