Jun. 23--If Frank Deiny finds a way to win today's Greased Lightning 200, officials at Myrtle Beach Speedway may want to consider renaming the track after him.
"I could use a grandstand," Deiny laughed. "I've seen tracks do that."
Though the odds of a Frank Deiny Jr. Grandstand are slim, you have to like the Ashland, Va., resident's chances to return to Victory Lane at MBS.
Deiny has won the last three season-ending Myrtle Beach 250 Late Model races and has won the last four times he's competed at the .538-mile semi-banked asphalt oval.
But he'll be in a different car tonight.
He'll be turning laps in a USAR Hooters Pro Cup car in this his first season in the series. And he's had this race circled on his calendar for some time.
