In "The Home Front," Ramesh Ponnuru avers that our tax system benefits the childless at the expense of their more fecund countrymen. Yet as the average age of first-time parents goes up, the higher taxes Ponnuru suggests aiming at "affluent childless people" could very well affect and afflict those who are simply starting late.
