Jun. 21--A significant swath of rural south Iredell will be primed for development in the next few years thanks to a sewer agreement reached by Mooresville and the Langtree at the Lake developers.
Developers Rick and Brad Howard need increased sewer capacity for their project, an $800 million hotel-condo-retail complex around three quadrants of the future Interstate 77 Exit 32 on Langtree Road.
The town was already planning much of the sewer work, but the agreement speeds up those utility improvements by about three years. The Howards also are upgrading part of the town's water system to serve their site.
