Jun. 19--Hamilton County commissioners likely will approve $490,000 in grants for the Tennessee Meth Task Force on Wednesday.
The money comes from federal grants at no cost to the county, but commissioners had several questions on the matter during a finance committee meeting last week. They questioned Lt. Tommy Farmer, head of the task force, about how the funds are distributed among all 95 counties in the state, how the money is tracked and what happens when the grants run out.
