Jun. 15--They aren't exactly Ocean's Eleven.
Three Rosedale Center mall security guards were charged Thursday with stealing shoelaces, boxer underpants, Bath & Body Works lotions, skateboards, cell phones, a flat-screen television, a margarita machine, cuff links, a tea kettle and even a pink rubber duck.
That and more is alleged to be among at least $20,000 worth of goods and cash pinched by the guards, according to court documents. Roseville police searched the suspects' apartments in Minneapolis and Roseville, and seized boxes of pilfered items.
A few stolen items were sold on the Internet auction site eBay and others were fenced or returned to merchants for cash refunds, according to court documents. But the thefts were also about maintaining a lifestyle.
