Jun. 15--Two south Charlotte elementary schools will be honored later this year for outstanding character education.
The Character Education Partnership, a national organization, says Beverly Woods Elementary School and Elizabeth Lane Elementary School will be presented the Promising Practices Award. They are among 206 schools so honored from the United States, Canada, Mexico and Singapore.
The awards will be presented at the partnerships 14th annual National Forum on Character Education, scheduled Nov. 1-3 in Arlington, Va.
