Jun. 14--A former Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools teacher who was set to be hired by Lincoln County Schools is facing drug charges.

Brian Hunter Zickefoose, 26, of Maiden, was arrested Tuesday after a narcotics bust in Lincoln County.

He was one of three teachers charged with or being investigated for wrongdoing Wednesday who had worked for CMS this past school year.

In Lincolnton, the principal of S. Ray Lowder Elementary had recommended that Zickefoose be hired as a physical education teacher for 2007-08, spokeswoman Belinda Branson said. The school board likely would have acted on the request at…
