Nissan will introduce 11 new products worldwide in 2007, including biggies such as the GT-R set to debut at the Tokyo show this fall. So we have to forgive the Nissan product planners if they didn't make huge mid-cycle changes to the full-size Titan pickup and the Armada sport/utility vehicle.
What's surprising, in a way, is that Nissan's biggest vehicles are already due for an update-both were introduced in 2003 as 2004 models. Has it really been four years?
For 2008, the Titan gets a refreshed front end and new wheels; bigger front brakes (13.8 inches versus 12.6), a long-wheelbase option that allows for longer truck beds for King and Crew Cab models; a 500-pound jump in maximum payload (to 2063 pounds); interior upgrades; and a new PRO-4X package that includes off-road equipment and unique exterior and interior trim.
The Armada gets a refreshed exterior and a more refined interior, in a deliberate effort to differentiate the big ute from its former Titan copycat look. Front-end styling benefits from bolting fascia parts directly to the body (as opposed to bolting to the frame on the previous ...
