Jun. 11--A scuffle involving several people briefly interrupted Myers Park High School's commencement exercises Sunday afternoon at Cricket Arena.
The incident started when an adult sitting in the audience area became angry with several nearby young people for talking too loudly, said Tahira Stalberte, a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools spokeswoman.
An argument quickly escalated into a shoving match, she said, and police officers hired as security for the event ejected several people from the ceremony, she said.
Stalberte said she did not know if any arrests were made.
