Jun. 7--Mooresville commissioners delayed acting on a plan for the permanent campus of the new Pine Lake Preparatory Charter School until they learn more about the effect on traffic.
The town board Monday postponed until their July meeting a request from the school's developer to allow more than 25,000 square feet of buildings at the site.
The school site is about 24 acres off N.C. 115 just south of Langtree Road.
Although schools are allowed in Mount Mourne under Mooresville's zoning, civic buildings in that area can't exceed 25,000 square feet except with the town board's permission.
