The 91st Indianapolis 500 finished so messy that it's a wonder Dario Franchitti knew how to act in the rain-soaked victory lane.
The Scotsman and his wife, actress Ashley Judd, are usually neat and tidy, always careful to do and say the right things to maintain their pristine public image. But that was a bit challenging late in the stormy weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Rain twice soaked the track, the latter downpour ending the event 34 laps shy of its scheduled distance. Judd watched from pit road and
was so soaked from the race-ending deluge that she had to scrap her shoes for a run to meet her man.
