Downtown Bellevue's emergence as a retail hot spot has had Pacific Linen officials scrambling to find a store site there, despite already having a Bellevue superstore at nearby Crossroads Shopping Center.

After more than a year of searching, the Bothell-based bed-and-bath retailer appears to have found what it's been looking for half a block east of Bellevue Square.

Bill Shepard, president and CEO of Pacific Linen, acknowledged that his company is negotiating to lease the first two floors of the three-story Bellevue Conference Center building at 505 106th Ave. N.E. The building is owned by Puget Western Inc., a subsidiary of Puget Sound Power & Light Co. …
