Jun. 5--An art teacher who abruptly canceled classes and locked his door at Bruns Avenue Elementary on Monday was charged with having heroin and drug paraphernalia at school.

The assistant principal unlocked the door and found the teacher with his arm strapped, said Vincent "Bud" Cesena, head of CMS law enforcement. The administrator was summoned after a teacher took students to the art classroom and found it locked, with a sign saying classes were canceled through Friday, he said.

George Terry McDonald Jr., 50, was arrested at the school and charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia, according to CMS officials…
