Jun. 5--BRANFORD -- Indian Neck neighbors are expected to turn out en masse tonight for a state Department of Environmental Protection public hearing on an application to build a 91-foot boat dock into Maltby Cove in a waterfront neighborhood at the end of Linden Avenue.

Neighbors say the dock that Andre and Debra Poirier want to build is too big for the cove, would obscure some neighbors' views and would interfere with a nearby public boat launch rightof-way from which neighbors launch their kayaks, canoes and other small craft.

The DEP has made a tentative determination to award the Poiriers a permit to build the dock, but…
