I've never been what anyone would call skinny. Part of the reason may be genetics, since my dad and brother were both overweight. But I also grew up in a traditional Italian family, where each meal was a feast. My morn regularly prepared ultra-fattening dinners, and everyone encouraged me to pile my plate high.
