I met Glynn seven years ago, when we were summer associates at a law firm in New York City. He is three years younger than I am, but that didn't stop me from asking him out. When summer ended, I stayed in New York and he went back to Canada, so we had a long-distance relationship while we finished law school. Then he left to travel the world, and alter taking the bar exam, I joined him in Thailand.

I realized Glynn was for me on that trip. We shared the same vagabond vision of travel. Plus, I was astounded at his intelligence and compassion, tie was perfect, mid I wanted to be with him--forever.

When I returned to New York, I was awakened one morning by the sound of Glynn's IMs from Thailand--it was September 11, 2001, the towers had just collapsed, and he wanted to make sure I was okay. Glynn cut his trip short and moved to New York. We agreed that he should get his own apartment and we would move in together after about a year.
