May 31--After 44 years in education, Marjorie Luganob said she never had regrets about her career choice.
"Even on bad days, it's interesting," she said. "You're never bored and the kids keep you young."
The final minutes of her teaching career Friday were filled with more tears and hugs than what-ifs and why-nots. Luganob, 64, was able to walk out of her third-grade classroom at Cottonwood Elementary, where she's been for nine years, with a smile.
Her colleagues at Cottonwood were the givers of many of those hugs and said they were amazed at Luganob's enthusiasm.
