May 29--The Deep Run High baseball team has won 17 straight games. It is seeded second in the Central Region tournament, behind nationally ranked James River.

The Wildcats' opponent in today's first round is Henrico, a team that is making its first regional appearance since 1990 and has recorded its first winning record since 1993.

Deep Run is wary -- with good reason.
