The western world has listened to rock `n' roll music for over thirty years. Over that time it has changed incredibly in format, sound and style. It would be natural to think that rock and roll was worldwide musical experience, since there are no laws, religious or bans against it.

But it has only been in recent years that the Chinese population has experienced the sights, sounds, feelings and raw noise of rock 'n' roll music and they still have a long way to go. China's first rock band formed in 1980 and included Wan Xing, Li Shichao, Ma Xiaoyi and Wang Xingpo.
