May 20--Now that Billingsville Elementary School has found a home, the employees of a local law firm want to be part of it.

Several dozen people from the Charlotte office of Helms, Mulliss and Wicker spent several hours May 11 helping beautify the grounds of the southeast Charlotte school. They also worked in the media center and tutored students in reading.

"We had a partnership with the school several years ago," said Kevin McGinnis, an attorney and partner in the firm. "The school changed locations during a major renovation project, but when they came back here, we wanted to get involved again."
