May 18--PAYNE SPRINGS, Texas -- A man shot and killed two Henderson County sheriff's deputies and wounded another Thursday afternoon, hours after the deputies participated in a memorial to honor peace officers slain in the line of duty, authorities said.
The deputies -- two in uniform and the other in plainclothes -- were responding to a domestic disturbance call in this East Texas town when they were shot with a high-powered rifle, sheriff's Lt.
