Every person who has experienced the Indianapolis Motor Speedway since 1946 has heard Tom Carnegie's voice boom over the PA system. But that might not happen this year because of his health.
Carnegie, 88, retired two years ago but took a few turns at the mic last year. Not able to battle crowds, he isn't sure he'll appear this year. That's unfortunate, but the listening pleasure has been all ours.
