May 16--NEW HAVEN -- In outlining accomplishments so far this year in launching the $1 million Youth Initiative, four city administrators told an aldermanic committee Tuesday that 40 city employees have volunteered for Mentor New Haven, nine schools will be open after school during summer vacation and businesses are signing up for subsidized summer jobs for youths.
