May 16--THE ISSUE: New video featuring local kids helps families get ready for school. Nothing beats a real classroom visit, but Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and Child Care Resources have just released a video to make sure children and families know what to expect from kindergarten.

"Ready, Set, Go!" is a 12-minute virtual tour of classes at Lebanon Road and Sedgefield elementaries. Students from Sedgefield and Collinswood Language Academy narrate the video, which is available in English and Spanish.
