Already in Europe with Frans Maas. Yellow to expand from low-growth base of long-haul LTL business.

Yellow Freight System says its two-year-old alliance with Royal Frans Maas has been successful and that it hopes to develop additional service to the Pacific Rim during the next year or so.

"The international marketplace is something we're very interested in, and we will pursue it," said Reid Armstrong, president of Yellow Freight.

Armstrong also said Yellow is "actively pursuing" a possible alliance or partnership to provide air cargo transportation in connection with its international business.
