YEOSU, South Korea, May 12 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's new maritime minister said Saturday that Yeosu, a South Korean city, is expected to win the bid for the 2012 World Exposition. During a meeting with reporters here, Kang Moo-hyun said that Yeosu's social infrastructure and citizens' hopes to host the exposition are a strong advantage for its successful bidding. "I am very confident that Yeosu citizens will be able to overcome obstacles, if any," Kang said. Kang was inaugurated as the country's maritime affairs minister on May 11. Yeosu, a southern port city about 455 kilometers south of Seoul, is seeking to hold the event after it ...
