May 12--GUILDERLAND -- School board candidates cannot campaign on district property for the Tuesday election.

The rule came down after two candidates and a third candidate's representative distributed promotional literature to parents Monday night after an evening concert at Guilderland Elementary School.

Parents leaving the building were handed a one-page biography of three candidates running for the Guilderland Board of Education.

Guilderland Superintendent Gregory Aidala on Wednesday sent a letter to candidates, asking they refrain from distributing literature on school grounds. He said Friday that the letter was…
