May 10--Flooded rivers and creeks are receding in Reno County, but the Arkansas River remains above flood stage near Mulvane and officials do not expect it to crest until later this morning.

A river flood warning for the Arkansas remains in effect for Hutchinson, Haven, Derby, Mulvane, Oxford and Arkansas City. The National Weather Service said the river is expected to crest at 17.2 feet -- more than half a foot above flood stage -- but only minor flooding is anticipated.

Reno County authorities will be conducting damage assessments for the next few days to determine what repairs…
