Tony Stewart's long Talladega Superspeedway weekend began with a rant against NASCAR on his Tuesday night Sirius satellite radio show. That brought a Friday morning summons to chat with NASCAR president Mike Helton, vice president Robin Pemberton and Nextel Cup director John Darby. They figuratively took him by the scruff of the neck, read him the riot act and politely "suggested'' he straighten up. Stewart was Mr. Congeniality when he met the media afterward and backpedaled like a man running from a snake.
Oh, and he raced. He was a half-length runner-up to Bobby Labonte in Saturday afternoon's Busch race and a last-lap, wreck-related ...
