Fisker Coachbuild, the spunky start-up that took on the world's supercar makers when it debuted two models two years ago, is slowly building clients-80 orders-and slowly building cars-30 so far. We know, we drove one (a car, not a client).
The Tramonto we piloted was a 700-hp, 1000-lb-ft howler that ate everything in its way on the mean streets of Newport Beach, California. Society matrons screamed, kids from The OC leaped behind planters and dirt-dealing, two-fisted OC businessmen in a mere stock Mercedes hung back, well out of range of the Fisker beast.
