The ever-growing 500-hp club has a new member. Horsepower junkies at AMG have started hand-building a few hundred copies of the signature 6.2-liter V8 to power the 2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series.
Prominent visual cues separate it from the standard CLK63 AMG. The most noticeable difference for the U.S. market is its coupe configuration; regular CLK63 AMGs come only as convertibles. Other distinctions include fatter fenders, a more aggressive air dam and a trick rear diffuser-all spun from carbon fiber to cut weight.
