May 9--MANATEE -- Lincoln Middle School was temporarily put on lock-down Tuesday afternoon after shots were fired in a nearby neighborhood, according to Palmetto Police Department spokesman Sgt. Scott Tyler.

The shooting took place about 2 p.m. near the 1500 block of 21st East near Oakwood Village.

There were no victims in the shooting, and the school was put on lock-down for a short…
