In the Shop Talk column in January's issue, two responses by John Tiger, Jr., caught my attention.
It was the second letter that prompted me to write. In "Overcoming Chinewalking," Tiger says that he and the writer are neighbors and that if the reader can't get through the chinewalk problem to give him a call at the magazine so he can "take a few hours and show you." I was shocked and amazed that Tiger would take the time to go to a subscriber and offer his personal assistance. This really shows what he's all about. I have never heard of a writer making such an offer.
