Both the Office of Fair Trading and Ofcom have raised concerns over the 17.9 per cent stake in ITV that BSkyB holds. The OFT has recommended that the acquisition be investigated by the Competition Commission, while Ofcom has expressed concerns to the Government on the grounds that the deal will affect plurality of news provision.
