May 3--An air gun mistaken for a handgun was taken from a 13-year-old male who brought it to an elementary school Wednesday, Oklahoma City police and Moore school officials said.
The teen was taken into custody by police after witnesses said they saw him carrying a handgun at Briarwood Elementary, 14901 S Hudson, police Capt. Steve McCool said. He was released, when officials determined it was an air gun.
McCool said the teen, a seventh-grader at Brink Junior High School, didn't go inside the elementary school and didn't fire the gun. He had been suspended from school and was inline skating near Briarwood…
