This year the Historical Society of Alberta is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
In 1907, during its second Session, the Alberta Legislature passed an Act to incorporate the Society. During this past century we have grown and worked to fulfill our legislated mandate. The Society strives to preserve our history and to educate the public about that history. The quarterly journal, Alberta History, is the primary means to this end. Our newsletter, History NOW, also makes a significant contribution. The Society, through its Alberta Records Publication Board, has an active program of publishing original material ...
