Circulation slips at Journal Sentinel: Declines mirror other papers in region.

May 1--Circulation of the Sunday edition of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel declined 1.2% from a year ago, while daily circulation fell 2.3%, a report released Monday shows.

Sunday circulation averaged 400,317 for the six months ended March 31, down from 405,355 a year earlier, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulations. Sales of the Journal Sentinel's Monday-through-Friday editions averaged 230,220, compared with 235,705 a year ago.

An analysis by the Newspaper Association of America showed that the average circulation of Sunday editions nationwide was down 3.1%, while weekday newspaper circulation declined 2.1%.
