Lotus Development Corp.'s recently delivered alpha version of Notes Release 4.0 is drawing mixed reactions from developers.
While the new version promises easier application development, some alpha testers are complaining that integration with other Lotus products is poor.
The alpha version, code-named Mako, currently runs under Windows 3.1 and is expected to ship for Windows 3.1 servers in the middle of next year. Versions for Windows 95, Windows NT, OS/2, and Unix servers are expected to ship in rapid succession.
