Apr. 29--KISSIMMEE -- With nine bomb threats reported at schools in a little more than two weeks, the Osceola School District has revamped its emergency-response procedures, which now include high-ranking staff appointed to incident command centers to help law enforcement, and the designation of staging areas where parents can wait.

Officials said they began to make changes after a bomb threat to Neptune Middle School on April 11, which caused hundreds of students to be evacuated to Zenith School on U.S. Highway 192, creating delays and confusion as parents attempted to pick up students at two separate locations.
