In the latest bid to jazz up the image of its flagship PC operating system, IBM last week disclosed the addition of several multimedia features in the upcoming version of OS/2.
Due to be officially unveiled on Oct. 11 and to ship in early November, OS/2 3.0, code-named Warp, is aimed at the home and "edutainment" market. It will feature built-in Kodak Photo CD support so users can view photographs stored on CD-ROM discs without having to buy additional software.
