Apr. 25--Anthony Hayes is aware of how overwhelming the odds are that he ever will set foot in an NFL training camp, much less wear an NFL uniform during a regular-season game. Hayes has the "measurables" NFL teams seek in a safety and special-teams player. He's 6-1, weighs 214, has speed (4.48 unofficially in the 40-yard dash), 11.08 in the 100-meter dash and does not mind contact. There's just one thing. Hayes played college football at Shenandoah University in Winchester. The Hornets compete at the Division III level. The competition is keen at the Division III level, but it does not compare to that in the Big Ten, ACC, SEC or Pac-10. …
