In an expansion of its Package Flow Technology track and trace system, UPS launched what it called the first automated, Web-enabled re-routing system for small packages.

UPS Delivery Intercept allows customers to halt a package and return it to them, redirect it to a new address, hold the package for delivery at a future date or hold it for pick up by the consignee.

Kurt Kuehn, UPS senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing, said, "A great interception can be the difference between winning and losing, especially in the world of business and complex supply chains."
