Apr. 20--The Chrysler Group scaled back plans for a new V6 engine plant after the Feb. 14 announcement that the Auburn Hills-based automaker might be sold, the Free Press has learned. Some wonder whether this was the first concrete sign that steps were being taken to unwind the Chrysler Group from DaimlerChrysler -- though Chrysler insiders deny that.
