A year ago to the day, this column pondered Easter Bank Holiday traditions - in particular, how the presentation (and, in and around Preston, the rolling down hills) of ovoid fertility symbols, gave way to the giving of Maundy Money, and more latterly to the consumption of vast quantities of over-packaged confectionery and garden-centre products.
