Apr. 17--Threats that violence will occur at Tempe's Corona del Sol High School on Friday -- -- the anniversary of the 1999 Columbine High School shootings -- have prompted police to increase their presence on campus this week.

Since April 10, three threatening messages have been found in boys' bathroom stalls, a bush in front of the school was set on fire, and another message was scrawled on the ground, Tempe police Sgt. Mike Horn said in a statement.

The most recent incident occurred Monday when a note was found written on a bathroom stall. Police would not release the exact wording of the threat.
